Marvel Reveals ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special’ Trailer and Release Date on Disney+

Marvel Studios has revealed the first trailer and release date for ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.’ Directed by James Gunn Marvel Studios’ Special Presentation: The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will release on November 25 on Disney+, worldwide.

The trailer shows Quill is still mourning the death of Gamora as Mantis says, "Peter is so sad about Gamora being gone. Maybe if we go to Earth for a really wonderful Christmas gift, it would make him happy. Something special he will never forget." The trailer introduces us to Kevin Bacon who is playing none other than himself and he is the special gift that Drax thinks can make Quill cheer up. 

In this Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, the Guardians (Mantis, Drax, Groot, Rocket, Nebula, and others) who are on a mission to make Christmas unforgettable for Quill, head to Earth in search of the perfect present. The Special Presentation stars Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, and Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, and The Old 97’s with Michael Rooker and Kevin Bacon.

James Gunn wrote and directed Marvel Studios’ The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Sara Smith, Brad Winderbaum, James Gunn, and Simon Hatt, with David J. Grant and Lars P. Winther serving as co-producers.

The holiday special was filmed alongside ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,’ which is the last time the originals member of the Guardians will be seen together. Will Poulter is the new face playing Adam Warlock. Chukwudi Iwuji and Reinaldo Faberlle are also part of Vol. 3. The team of Guardians' recently appeared for a short duration in Thor: Love and Thunder. ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ will release in theaters on May 5, 2023.
