Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have revealed a new extended trailer for the most anticipated movie of the year “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” The final movie in the Homecoming trilogy will arrive in theaters on December 17, 2021.

The trailer begins with Peter Parker (Tom Holland) saying, "Ever since I got bit by that spider, I've only had one week where my life has felt normal, that was when you found out." The trailer proceeds further as Doctor Strange Scolds Peter confirming the return of the villains from the all the universe where Spider-Man exists. "When you botched that spell where you wanted everyone to forget the Peter Parker Spider-Man, we started getting some visitors from every universe," says Strange. The trailer also has a moment where Dr. Otto Octavius confronts Spider-Man on the bridge and recognizes that Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is not from his universe. "You're not Peter Parker," says Dr. Octopus. This also confirms the existence of Tobey Maguire in this movie. The trailer ends with Zendaya falling from the building in the same way as we have seen Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The trailer teases a multiversal war which could be part of this film as well as upcoming MCU movies. Many villains from previous Spiderman movies are also returning and can be seen in the trailer including, Dr. Octopus, Green Goblin, Electro, The Lizard, and Sandman. It also gives us many clues including the appearance of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their respective Spider-Mans'.

The trailer was revealed during a special fan event held in LA for “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” Tom Holland and Zendaya were present on the stage and also answered a few questions from the audience. Sony pictures also revealed a new poster earlier this week featuring Doctor Stranger and Tom Holland's Spider-Man.

The film follows on the aftermath of Spider-Man: Far From Home, where Spider-Man's identity is exposed to the world, as Peter Parker struggles to live a normal life. Dr. Strange tries to erase the existence of Spider-Man's identity and encounters a new anomaly, which might put the whole planet at risk.

The official synopsis says, "For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man."

Spider-Man: No Way Home is an upcoming MCU Phase 4 movie, co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios, and distributed by Sony Pictures. It is a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and the 27th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Smoove as Julius Dell, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei as May Parker, Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro, Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus, and J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson.
