Netflix has revealed a full-length trailer for ‘Young Wallander’ Season 2. Based on Henning Mankell’s best-selling Kurt Wallander novels, "Young Wallander: Killer's Shadow" will release on February 17 on Netflix.

In season 2, Kurt investigates a mysterious, grisly death that seems connected to an incendiary national news story that was one of Rask's first cases in Malmö.

The English language drama is told over six new serialized episodes. Kurt Wallander is left adrift and uncertain of his future after leaving the police force in contemporary Sweden. When a new Superintendent, Samuel Osei, takes over the leadership of the Major Crimes Unit, an opportunity to rejoin the unit arises. Wallander accepts the offer and is assigned to what appears to be a simple case: a hit-and-run outside a nightclub. However, when the body is discovered to be linked to an infamous murder case handled by Frida Rask eight years ago, Wallander feels that there is more to this case than meets the eye. He refuses to back down from his determination to seek the truth, even when the investigation leads him to the door of people who may kill his career in an instant.

Adam Pålsson returns as Kurt Wallander, alongside Leanne Best, Ellise Chappell, and Yasen Atour. They will be joined by some new faces in Tomiwa Edun (Merlin) as Superintendent Samuel Osei, Lewis Mackinnon, Lisa Hammond (EastEnders) as Roberta Modin, Josef Davies (The King), and Kim Adis (Get Even).

Young Wallander is based on the best-selling Kurt Wallander novels by Henning Mankell. Yellow Bird UK, a Banijay Group company that produced the Swedish Wallander franchise on TV4 as well as the hit BBC series Wallander in 2008, created the series. Jens Jonsson and Mani Maserrat direct the series, which is produced by Berna Levin and Marshall Leviten. Chris Lunt and Mike Walker are the screenwriters.
