‘DC League of Super-Pets’ First Trailer Shows A Super-Dog Saving the Justice League

Warner Bros. Pictures has revealed the first trailer for its upcoming animated movie “DC League of Super-Pets.” Starring Dwayne Johnson as the voice of Krypto the Super-Dog, the animated action-adventure movie will hit theaters on May 20, 2022.

Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends in "DC League of Super-Pets," sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are abducted, Krypto must convince a motley crew of shelter animals—Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle, and Chip the squirrel—to embrace their newfound abilities and assist him in rescuing the superheroes.

Directed by Jared Stern, the film also stars the voices of Kevin Hart as Ace, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski as Superman, Vanessa Bayer as PB, Natasha Lyonne as Merton, Diego Luna as Chip, Marc Maron as Lex Luthor, Thomas Middleditch, Jameela Jamil, Ben Schwartz, and Keanu Reeves.

Stern, a senior writer/consultant on the "LEGO®" films, makes his animated feature film directorial debut, directing from a script he co-wrote with frequent collaborator John Whittington, based on characters developed by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster for DC, Superman. Patricia Hicks,  Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia, Dwayne Johnson, and Jared Stern are producing the movie. John Requa, Nicholas Stoller, Glenn Ficarra, Allison Abbate, Sharon Taylor, Chris Leahy, and Courtenay Valenti serve as executive producers.

Stern’s creative team includes production designer Kim Taylor (“The LEGO® Ninjago Movie”) and editors David Egan (“Game Night,” “Vacation”) and Jhoanne Reyes (“Teen Titans GO!” “Young Justice”). The music is by Steve Jablonsky (the “Transformers” films).

Warner Bros. Pictures Presents A Seven Bucks Production, “DC League of Super-Pets.” The film will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in theaters internationally beginning 18 May 2022 and in North America on May 20, 2022.
