We are all familiar with Beauty and the Beast. The classic old tale of a fairy tale love story. Well here’s another one with a twist. Only this time it’s the beast who is getting into the world of beauty.   How will this love story unfold? Let's find out.

Here is how the narrative shapes up: Tsugumi is kidnapped by a bunch of men who take her away from the city. She screams for help but in vain. At that moment jumps in Frankenstein, who saves the unconscious Tsugumi in the forest.  Holding her in his arms, he drops her off at a bus stop in the city where her friend Haruka discovers her. However, Tsugumi doesn’t recall anything about Frankenstein. And this is where we are introduced to our male protagonist- Frankenstein who is deemed to be a monster. This is his story- over a century ago, a man had breathed his last breath, only to awaken once more in a world vastly different from the one he remembered. What he found was not a renaissance of humanity, but a haunting reality that transformed him into what he perceived as a monstrous being, shunned from the company of his own kind. Yet, fate would intertwine his path with that of a young girl, whose presence stirred within him an unfamiliar yearning for connection and humanity.

Haunted by his own perceived monstrosity, he embarked on a journey of self-discovery, compelled by the desire to bridge the chasm between himself and the world of humans. In the depths of his being, he confronted the horrors and wonders concealed within, unraveling the enigmatic mysteries of his existence.

His sole tether to the realm of humanity was an ancient relic of the past—a weathered radio, whispering tales of bygone eras and distant voices. With each transmission, he gleaned fragments of insight into the intricacies of human nature, piecing together a mosaic of understanding that illuminated his path forward.

As his life progresses, he makes new friends and even develops a bond with Tsugumi, with whom he falls in love. Guided by the steadfast support of newfound companions and fueled by the burgeoning affection for the girl who ignited a spark of hope within him, he embarked on a transformative odyssey. Together, they navigated the labyrinthine corridors of his soul, unearthing buried truths and confronting formidable adversaries.

Through trials and tribulations, he discovered that the essence of humanity transcended mere physical form—it dwelled within the depths of compassion, empathy, and love.

Amidst the tapestry of time, his journey unfolded, a symphony of triumphs and tribulations, illuminated by the radiant light of hope and the enduring power of love. And in the end, he emerged not as a monster condemned to solitude, but as a beacon of resilience and transformation—a testament to the indomitable spirit that thrives within the human heart. But the question arises, will he be able to pursue his love with Tsugumi?

Frankenstein’s Love is a one-time watch. The plot is predictable. If you have watched movies like Twilight, you can draw parallels from their plotline. If you are looking for a light watch, this can be the show for your weekend.

Final Score- [5/10]
