‘Heartstopper’ Season 2 Gets Trailer and Release Date on Netflix

The second season of Heartstopper follows Nick and Charlie as they navigate through their newly established relationship at Truham Grammar School

Netflix has revealed the first teaser trailer for the second season of Heartstopper that teases what's going to happen in the next year in the blue and yellow halls of Truham Grammar School for Boys. ‘Heartstopper’ Season 2 will release on August 3, 2023, on Netflix, worldwide.


‘Heartstopper’ Season 2 is based on Volume 3 of Alice Oseman’s beloved graphic novel series. However, a lot of Season 2 is fresh creation. In the second season of Heartstopper, Nick and Charlie manage their new relationship, Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy (Kizzy Edgell) confront unexpected hurdles, and Tao (William Gao) and Elle (Yasmin Finney) wonder if they can ever be more than friends. With exams on the horizon, a school trip to Paris, and a prom to arrange, the gang has a lot on their plates as they navigate the next phases of life, love, and friendship.


Below are the first-look images revealed by Netflix in May this year:

 


The new faces joining the cast of Heartstopper are Leila Khan as Higgs student Sahar Zahid, Jack Barton as Nick’s older brother David Nelson, Thibault de Montalembert as Nick’s father, Nima Taleghani as Truham teacher Mr. Farouk, and  Bradley Riches (Guest appeared as a student in Season 1) will return as Truham student James McEwan. Bel Priestley as Naomi and Ash Self as Felix will both play new friends of Elle.


All the new actors will join the lead cast members returning for Season 2, including Kit Connor, Joe Locke, Corinna Brown, Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Kizzy Edgell, Rhea Norwood, Sebastian Croft, Cormac Hyde-Corrin, Tobie Donovan, Jenny Walser. The first season cast also includes Alan Turkington, Chetna Pandya, Fisayo Akinade, Olivia Colman, Karol Steele, and Jessal Kullar-Bell.


Alice Oseman is the creator of the series and has also written all the episodes based on her best-selling Graphic Novel of 2016. Heartstopper is directed by the acclaimed Euros Lyn and the incredible team at See-Saw Films - the best possible team to bring this world to life. ‘Heartstopper’ Season 3 is already in the works.
