Humane is a new horror, fantasy, and thriller movie starring Jay Baruchel, Emily Hampshire, and Sebastian Chacon. The movie is about a family whose father decides to enlist in the program of government to control global issues, but the plan of the father ends up in a horrible way. Well, when I first saw the trailer for Humane, I was excited about it, but I wasn't sure whether this movie would make it worth watching for me or not. The trailer was interesting, and I was looking forward to watching the entire movie.

Now that the movie has been released, I am glad that I got to watch it. But, honestly, it wasn't worth watching. I don't understand why they mention that it's also a horror genre movie when there is basically nothing like that in the movie.

I was mainly invested in the movie because I thought it would show something very thrilling and related to horror, but nothing was like that. Humane tells the story of a family and how they end up awry because of the decision taken by the father.

The story takes place in a house where everyone is called for a fancy dinner by Charles York. He is a former anchor, and he plans a fancy dinner with his family, but things go downhill when his plan actually shocks the whole family. Due to the international order for global issues, the government ordered that the population be reduced by 20%, but who would gladly volunteer for euthanasia?

Charles York planned to enlist in the government's new rule and perform it with his family. The whole family was dumbfounded themselves, and they were not ready to do this. Slowly, as things started to get more complicated, the whole family started to fight against one another, and this led to even injuring themselves.

The movie could have been more interesting, and it would have had a great plot if the makers had altered some parts and scenes. Overall, it was okay, but I found it not that good as compared to others. I could also tell that it was inspired by the COVID-19 incident, and the writer wanted to give us a lesson that we should be more careful. The main motive of the writer was to give the message that our earth is only deteriorating because of ourselves, and we should adjust and be extremely careful with our behavior towards nature.

Nowadays, we can find many movies related to this genre that try to portray the message of protecting our environment, but this movie lacks a lot. At one point, the movie became very boring, but at another point, it was interesting. I lost my interest in the middle as the storyline was going down instead of growing my interest.

If you are wondering whether you should watch this or not, then I would suggest giving it a try, as you can watch it only once. But the movie is not good enough to be seen more than once.

Final Score- [3/10]
